The GEroNIMO project organised a hackathon during 2022 on the contribution of new genomics technologies (NGT) to sustainable and efficient pig and chicken production with high biodiversity and good animal welfare.
The hackathon took place as an online event for master and PhD students from different universities in Europe. Groups of 4 to 5 students from different backgrounds worked together to create a project that would describe NGT applications, technical solutions, and tools. They considered strategies to deal with the societal acceptance of these NGT based-applications.
